My First Christmas at the office...

I've heard a lot from my colleagues about how the Christmas feel in the office is always very cheery and also about that legendary turkey from Ah Huat's kitchen. So, after waiting 8 months, I finally had my chance to experience Christmas in the office, and yes... It is such a cheery and festive mood. Everyone's just so happy and even the Christmas decorations are great!

Oh, and check out the food we had to feast on. This is only a small little part of the huge spread we had. We had others like Pizza, nuggets, sushi, tonnes of alcohol... And the dessert wine we had was absolutely fantastic. Super smooth, and yet, not too sweet. I've never quite tried anything like this.

The turkey was roasted by Ah Huat's kitchen. Yes yes... And, Ah Huat's not super cheapolad kinda restaurant. Ah Huat's actually my VP. He took leave, woke up at 5am and roasted the Turkey specially for us. And, we made him make super a lot of Potato Salad so that we can dabao, but, there was a huge scuffle for the dabao-ed Potato Salad. Yes, it's SO popular!!! Back to the Turkey... Most turkeys tend to be dry. It really isn't easy to roast such a HUGE bird, but Ah Huat's turkey is the most moist you can ever get. The breast part (usually the driest) came off as one whole slice and didn't split when he was slicing a thin piece down. Tells u how juicy the bird is. And, you really don't need much sauce, it's good on it's own. And the Durian and CHocolate Log cake were baked by Uncle Leong (another VP's) wife. It is so good I will rank it second after Goodwood Park's Durian array of pastries. She's very generous with the durian so you can imagine how much durian there is. The last time she made durian mooncakes for us, we jus walloped the whole thing.. Yum yum... =)

Blue Lobster

I tried this place a while back. Sorry for the lack of pictures... Maybe one day I'll post them up. But anyway, it's got good food, but terrible service. We waited so long for our food, they did so many wrongs that should never be done in a restaurant. Ambience was nice, but service was down right TERRIBLE. Well, for the price we paid, I expected better service...

My Day Off...

It's my day off. A much needed day of rest not from work but from everything else BUT work. I haven't been having much of a weekend for the last few weeks because of the increased amount of work for mission trip and for CYC. It became so bad that one day I just refused to go to cell group and stay for CYC meeting that lasted longer than the stated time. I mean, hey, it's my saturday, but I'm doing almost the same hours as my usual working day! Like 10am to 6+ 7pm in church, discounting a break for lunch. At least at work, I get to enjoy a good and fulfilling lunch. But still, I enjoy all that busyness and am extremely excited about my mission trip. I can't wait for it man! And this much needed rest day would give me some time to realign my focus and get myself in and ready for whatever holds ahead for the mission trip. I really don't know what to expect for the mission trip, but it's going to be one **** of a journey. =) Can't say the same for CYC though. Maybe I've been too busy to even bother about CYC. Ahh.. We'll take things one at a time. For now, I'm looking forward to my packed off day, tomorrow's company event @ Muse bar and D-Day on Wednesday. Yipppeee....
