Oh boy... Singapore had a massive blackout last night!! Haha.. Was supposed to have supper with a friend at the hawker centre near my place, and as the uncle was cooking my order of fishball noodles, pooped... the lights went out. It was so sudden. The uncles were desperately looking for the light box, but nothing was wrong with it. Later, we cancelled our order and walked out of the market only to see that my whole neighbourhood was soaked in darkness. Total darkness. The only light we could see were those from a distant candle from each household. Traffic lights were gone. Driving on the road was madness. Being hungry people (I didn't eat dinner, k...), we got a cab to blk85, which thankfully hadn't experienced any blackout. Settled in for my nice chai chee porridge. Love it man!!! Later, mum called to say the light had not been restored, and told me to go to my grandma's house to stay. BUt, thankfully, the light was restored around 11.30pm at my place.

Raveen is back!!!

AM back from camp!!! Was actually back on friday early morning (think around 2am..), but was too tored to blog until today. FOC was suppose to end yesterday, but had to go down to see Jubilee Hall at noon yesterday, so decided to go home and catch some good sleep. Slept only 2 hours the night before. It was also a good excuse to get away from camp, cos i dunno how to do cheer fight for the initiation ceremony.... Wish i knew how to do it though. Never mind, there's always O'week. Well, day 2 and day 3 of the camp was so much better. Managed to talk to the freshies, get to know my own batch of people well and have fun and ignite the BIzad spirit. Day 2 was at sentosa, but not super dark, cos the weather was nice and cloudy, without the signal of rain. Games were so much better... Everything wasn't that sian... it was fun listening to the freshies and their SP talk whilst being blind-folded. We went out for supper at fong seng with the freshies.. and after that us girl councillors stayed up talking till about 3 something 4... Haha... Day 3, we had IFG (Inter Faculty GAmes), which Bizad finally won after 6 years!!! Haha... Cheered like siao!!! And I probable spoke more hokkien on that day then i did in my whole entire life (cos most of our cheers are in hokkien) Luckily didn't lose my voice. well, for the record, i think I spoke a lot of chinese during the whole camp. Maybe it's the group of people I'm with, but seriously, most of them speak A LOT of chinese. So, had to follow suit. Then, had mass dance and it was SP nite at europa. SOme of the guys in muy OG got a little high, so had to get them sane. Well, it was much better than the other OGs which had a few people getting drunk.. HAha... Then, went home to have a good sleep, before waking up at around 10.30am to prepare to get to Jubilee Hall. Thanks to Aunty Susan who picked me up, i didn't have to leave too early.. hehe...

Today was working as an usher for Bloomberg's family day at the Former Australian International School. NOt bad la.. Though i didn't really know the people, they were really quite friendly. Was manning the bumber car side, and during my free time, was talking to the guy manning the candy floss stall. Pooped out now...

Am supposed to be at FOC now.. But somehow I find it a little sian.. Maybe it's just me. I haven't been that on about this camp. Maybe that's why. Well, if i continue to be that sian, think I'll leave the camp tmr or maybe the day after... Oh well... Let's hope it gets better...

Ok, gotta go back to KR now.. LOng journey.. Sigh.. Think i'll reach nus at 12 midnight.

*groan*

Eating my breakfast now... Haha... Overnight hor fun tastes fantastic!!

Will be going for Bizad FOC camp tomorrow. Dunno why, but somehow after last last saturday's day of tryout games for the campus hunt, i'm so not in the mood to go for the camp. For one, I felt personally that the games were boring!!! Really BORING!! The games were mostly reused, no novelty at all!! Seemed like most of the games I have played them before. Sigh... And furthermore, the group of councillors that I'm attached to are so cliqu-ish! And, my dear yingxiang was one of the station master, so was pretty quiet during the whole time as they talked about their own stuff... GROAN!!! Should just have quit when elain and June quit!!! I'm so regretting it now!!! Let's hope the freshies are a fun loving bunch and that hopefully group dynamics would change later as the group grows closer... Hopefully pool games and sentosa games would be more fun... sigh... I feel like quitting from the camp now.. hiaz... Maybe i just might... oh well...

It'll be a long 4 days... GROAN!!!

I think i'm turning into a cookie monster!!! The cookies that Esther jie-jie gave me were totally wiped out in less than 2 days!! and mind you they were not for meals, but more of snacks... And at IPC, we were given cookies on the 1st day and i had them gone by the next day!! Sigh sigh... and so much for me complaining that I'm getting fat... oh well....

Anyway, am back from IPC. IPC --- International Prayer Conference. It was held from 17-19 June 2004 at ACS Barker Road. Was helping out as a facilitator at the IPC kids. Was bunking over at Bernie's place after FL comm meeting on wed and again on thursday. Had to get up really early cos we had to be at ACS Barker half an hour beforehand for briefing. Thank GOd for Uncle Peter, if not we would have to wake up even earlier!!! It's been ages since I last woke up at the unearthly hour of 6am in the morning. (ok, i admit.. it's not really unearthly.. but well... it's been a long time since i got up at that type of timing for 2 days in a row.. haha..) The kids are one handful. Thank God that I was looking after a whold group of P1s. Made things so much easier especially when they were out of hand.. Just carry them to one corner (cos they're so light!!!) and move them away from trouble. Small has it's problems too la... Though they tend to be more quiet and obedient, asking them to pray aloud is terrible. These kiddos can talk till the cows come home, but ask them to pray, their mouth is shut tight, as if there was gold in their mouths. And, they are one restless bunch.. Keep asking what time it was and what time they could go back.. haha.. But, well.. they're lovable and still quite cute... haha... =)

Stayed on for the IPC on friday night. (Thursday I was really too tired, so went down to Parkway to grab dinner, headed down gelare to meet a couple of friends before going home to recharge.. haha...) The worship was great!! Missed that kind of worship. How I wish we could have that type of worship in church and FL every sunday.. Not constraint by time and just let God's spirit flow. It didn't even seem like 3 hrs. Time seemed to fly and before I knew it, it was close to 11pm already. Got a lift back home from Paul.. and was pooped out on the bed in no time... haha...

well... Today, was supposed to go to NUS for some briefing for FOC.. But was so lazy and tired, I ended up sleeping in the whole morning... Afternoon, I headed down to ACS Barker (through din have to, but really wanted to be with the kids...), and after the event, went to Sophie's house, cos we were having TOuche retreat. Great time to get together with the rest of them and just have a time of fellowship and praying and setting ground rules. Thanks to Sophie for opening up her house and to Corinne for helping to co-ordinate everything... Ivee for the wonderful shepherd's pie (it was great!!!).. and everyone else for coming!!! haha...

Shall end soon... so tired... Ryn!! Thanks for helping to do tmr's publicity!!! Know u're still working even though it's at 2:26am in the morning now.. Thank you babe!!! =) It really means a lot to me..

Finally!!! Got my laptop back..

Wow.. it's been ages since i last updated my blog!!! haha... Well, finally decided to pen some stuff down. Well, well, well.. Just wanna say a BIG THank You to Joanna, Gerald, Raveen, Nat and all those wonderful people who gave me such a wonderful 3 day birthday celebration!! (haha.. I know it's like quite late,.. but better late than never, right?) Really appreciated it!! =)

Was at church camp from 2-6th June. haha.. Yupyup, managed to front the wheel for part of the drive trip up. Hmmm.. Well, had quite a fun time, but some not so pleasant stuff happened to the end of the camp. It's been resolved already, but for one, I know I'll definitely see that person in a very different light. Can't believe how unreasonable that person was. Oh well.. On a lighter note.. haha... Had fun getting to know Sam, Jake, Adriel, Glen and a few others better. Hahaha.. M very much weary of gel and wax now... courtesy of jake and adriel... haha...

went to see the people going up to Cambodia off on 9th June. They're coming back tomorrow (14th June). Probably going to pick them up, cos am supposed to meet Esther jie-jie for breakfast, than she'll send me there.. haha...

Was working on 11th June at the Raffles city convention centre. Thought i would be quite lonely at first cos i din know anyone of them there and some of them have worked together before, but they were a really friendsly bunch and by noon, had made quite nice talking pals. Was quite a slack job, with more sitting around and manning the booth than actually doing work. So, kinda goofed off with some of them to pick on the lunch and tea buffet (what to do? we were BORED...) haha.. Luckily had the TODAY newspapers with me, and managed to kill some time doing reading.. haha...

Went for the Children's musical briefing today. It sounds really exciting!!! Service seemed emptier than usual, cos the usual youth crowd's in Cambodia, Veen's in camp, Grace's in Thailand, Alex's in Phuket... So, Joanna and I were like the only youth around in service.. sigh...

Okok.. that’s been basically my life for the past 2 weeks or so.. haha.. well, this week got IPC kids and next week’s got FOC camp.. till the next update (which hopefully won’t be too long a wait… LOL…)
