Quote from Wilson: Term breaks are an illusion.

I support you fully!!! It's supposedly my term break, but there are so many things to do that I'm up to my brim. I wish there were 3 of me to split the work. I had originally intended to catch up on watching the Stairway to Heaven VCD, but looks like that isn't going to happen anymore. After being reduced to a data entry clerk on monday (for SPSS. I had to go all the way to school to do it, and I had a stuffed nose and cough which was threatening to break out into a fever all these battling the mundane data entry work and the freezing aircon from the computer lab), I had some more data to enter on tuesday, I wonder when I'll ever have time to start studying.

Gee...

Marketing Stars Nite!!!

Finally!! After waiting for 2 years, I finally got to go for the Marketing Stars Nite. Yup, if you aren't already in the know, Marketing Stars Nite is a yearly event organised by the marketing department of NUS. And, it's a night to go wild and let ur hair down. Well, not that I couldn't go in the last 2 years, but it's only free for NUS marketing majors. Others have to pay. So, yup, as a marketing major, it's free for me!! hee... =)

Not only was it fun, everyone had a good laugh. With the honours class putting up a great performance (I love the last Gladiator act! Super lame, corny and yet poking fun at the Different school.), and the Profs and lecturers getting their act together, it was really a Marketing Nite. A night where marketing jargons reigned, pun intended. A night you actually dance with your profs and lecturers on the same dance floor. A night where the female lecturers look like one of us. And you wonder how some of these Profs manage to maintain such a slim, lean and well toned frame even after having 2 kids!!! Gosh... I'm jealous. And, seriously, they all looked very good, with their makeup and hair in place, together with hipster jeans and low cut tops, they looked practically like us (and even better)!!! Really a far cry from the more formal and serious look that they had in class. And when it came to games time, some dirty little secrets came out and some of the lecturers started having laughing fits.

And, we've got shopping queens, dancing queens (they can really boogie!!!) and a specific dancing king within our pool of lecturers. They were super sporting, and game for anything!!! Haha...

I think at the end of the day, it was a time for us marketing students to get to know the other side of our profs and lecturers and to break down whatever barrier we might have with our profs. And, I totally enjoyed it. It's really great to know that our Profs work hard, and play hard. =)

I can't wait for next year's Marketing Stars' Nite!!

YX, Shir n me at Marketing Stars' Nite 2005.

It has been a long time since my last post. Work has been piling in gradually (well, I didn't expect it to pile in so quickly), so I don't know how regular my blog entries will be. Ahh well...
