GOD IS GREAT (Part 1)
This weekend has been such a smash!! So busy, yet so fun!! I almost wish it didn't end.
Bizad Ball:
If you remember my earlier post, I said something about not being able to finish the programme booklet? Well well, finally I managed to finish it on 2nd september after lots of changes and all. And yup, I was in school about 5 plus to do it. So, here I was wondering how in the world I could get it printed and stapled all in 1.5days. I was panicky and wondering what I should do, which printer I could go to. (and yet keep the cost below $60. yes, we were on a shoe string budget, cos some problems cropped up somehow...) I was deciding between siglap centre and marine parade. Somehow, I had a gut feeling that most of the shops at siglap centre would be closed by that time (it was already 7.30pm plus). So, anyway, I told GOD, that whichever bus came first (31 to marine parade, or 10 to siglap centre), I'll take it and go to that area. Yup, and 31 came first. So, hopped on the bus to Marine Parade. Walked over to Roxy Square (the usual photocopying shop which I go to), but NOPE, it was closed!!! I didn't know what to do. And I asked GOD why HE led me there. But, somehow, I just felt peace and was not really anxious. So, since I was there, I decided to walk over to the shop houses opposite Parkway Parade to buy some of the musical stuff. As I was walking, I saw a shop name.. some "Digi..... Printing". At first I thought it was the photo shop that they were referring to. But somehow, on closer look (usually, I don't notice all these type of thingys...) I saw that the shop was located behind some escalator, so decided to check it out. Well, on first look, it didn't look anything like a photocopying shop withc lots of paper around and many photocopying machines around. There was only one huge poster printing machine around. But, well, no harm asking. So, I asked if they did photostating and whether they could shrink my A4 pieces of printouts to A5 size. I showed the lady the papers and she asked if it was for some booklet thing. And, guess wad she said? Her machine had the function of printing a prgramme booklet with staples in tact and folded from those 12 big A4 papers I have! And, she did a sample for me, and the quality was not as bad as I though it would be!! And, it was really very cheap. Within my budget!! So, naturally I went ahead with it. And, she also said she could meet me at Bedok to pass me the booklets on Saturday (which would save me time on friday)!! I was so surprised and happy!! Really without GOD leading me there and to that specific shop (which I normally wouldn't have noticed) I wouldn't have managed to get it done!!!
Praise the Lord!!
And, yup yup.. I had a great time at the Bizad Ball. My table had double portions of food!! Haha.. LOL... And, tok quite a number of photos.. Went for supper with Mel, Kevin and Wei Zheng after the ball. Haha.. it was jus such a good time of seeing people in nice formal wear and had a great time catching up with some ex classmates.
